UP PCS Pr EXAMINATION 2016 NOTIFICATION, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Allahabad, U.P. Has Invited Online Application for the Recruitment of 331 Posts of PCS Through COMBINED STATE / UPPER SUBORDINATE SERVICES (GENERAL RECTT.) EXAMINATION-2016 and COMBINED STATE / UPPER SUBORDINATE SERVICES (SPECIAL RECTT.) EXAMINATION-2016. Educational Qualification: Minimum Qualification is Graduation Degree from any Recognized University. According to the Posts. SEE NOTIFICATION
Application Fee: General – Exam fee Rs. 100/- + On-line processing fee Rs. 25/- (Total – Rs. 125/-), OBC – Exam fee Rs. 100/- + On-line processing fee Rs. 25/- (Total – Rs. 125/-), SC/ST – Exam fee Rs. 40/- + On-line processing fee Rs. 25/-(Total – Rs. 65/-), Handicapped – Only On-line processing fee Rs. 25/-only.
Application Fee will deposit in any of the branches of State Bank of India or Punjab National Bank by the candidate according to his category Through E-Challan/I-Collect.
Age Limit: Age of Candidates must between 21 years to 40 years on 01/06/2016. For PH candidates, the maximum age is 55 years; Relaxation in Upper age will 05 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Skilled players/State Govt. employees of U.P./ Group ‘B’ posts for the Emergency Commissioned Officers / Short Service Commissioned Officers / Ex-Army Personals of U.P.
Selection Process: Selection of Candidates will base on written Examination/ Interview which will be Conducted by U.P. Public Service Commission.
PROCESS OF EXAMINATION:
The examination consists three successive stages: –
- Preliminary Examination – (Objective Type/ Multiple choice questions). This examination will consist of two compulsory papers. The papers shall be 200 marks each and of two hours durations. The paper I and II have 150 and 100 questions respectively. Paper-II of the Preliminary Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%. The merit of the Candidates will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in Paper-I only.
- Main Examination- Written examination.
- Viva- Voce (Personality Test).
PAPERS FOR THE MAIN EXAMINIATION:
(A) COMPULSORY PAPERS
- General Hindi 150 marks.
- Essay 150 marks.
- General Studies (Paper I) 200 marks.
- General Studies (Paper II) 200 marks, (General studies paper – I and II Shall be objective type containing 150 questions and time two hours).
(B) OPTIONAL PAPERS – The candidates have to select any two subjects from the following list of optional subjects for main examination. Each optional subject will consist of two papers.

Agriculture, Anthropology, Agricultural Engineering, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Sociology, Philosophy, Geology, Psychology, Law, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Defence Studies, Management, Political Science and International Relations, History, Social Work, Statistics, , Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, English Lit., Urdu Lit., Arabic Lit., Hindi Lit., Persian Lit., Sanskrit Lit, Commerce and Accountancy, Public Administration, Zoology.
Note: Candidate will not be allowed to offer more than one subjects from the following Groups
Group ‘A’ 1. Agriculture 2. Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science.
Group ‘B’ 1.Mathematics 2.Statistics.
Group ‘C’ 1. Social Work 2. Anthropology 3. Sociology.
Group ‘D’ 1. Civil Engineering 2. Mechanical Engineering 3. Electrical Engineering 4. Agriculture Engineering.
Group ‘E’ 1. English Literature 2. Hindi Literature 3. Urdu Literature 4. Arabic Literature 5. Persian Literature 6. Sanskrit Literature.
Group ‘G’ 1. Management 2. Public Administration.

(C) VIVA-VOCE- TOTAL MARKS 200.
