Ocean engineering is related to study of ocean environment so ocean engineering involves the study of the sea and ocean environments on how the sea and ocean water affect vessels and watercraft. Ocean engineers study how long materials take to wear out in sea water, what materials are suitable for use in sea equipment and their costs. Besides the salty water, ocean engineers also have to be concerned about the effect of sand, sea life and waves on human aspirations. Qualification
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths is a minimum qualification for B.Sc./B.Tech course. For M.Sc./M.Tech, B.Sc./B.Tech and for Ph.D. M.Sc./M.Tech is minimum qualification required. The knowledge of geography and environment studies is helpful for candidates.
